Bridge Guy Video Released

Abby Williams and Libby German were murdered on February 13th 2017 in Delphi, Indiana. Their bodies were found the following day near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails.

The murders were reported on extensively world wide, partially because of video footage taken by the girls on Libby’s phone that captured the killer saying “down the hill”. The image of the man ordering the girls to their death was published for the world to see, as was the clip of his voice. But the whole video remained protected for two reasons – one to protect the case, and two, to protect the families of Abby and Libby.

Three days after the murders took place, Richard Allen self reported to being on the trails the day the murders took place and to seeing both the girls on the trails. Though he did this, his last name was incorrectly filed and wrongly marked as cleared.

The error on his tip was not discovered until September 2022. On October 26th 2022 Richard Allen was arrested and charged with two counts of murder to which he pled not guilty. Though he would later confess to killing the girls over 60 times in multiple ways, he continued with his not guilty plea.

Pre trial motions, gag orders, removal of the defence attorneys, and reinstatement of the defence attorney’s meant that Allen’s trial would not begin until October 18th 2024. During the trial it was heard that both girls had their throats cut, Abby was found fully clothed in Libby’s clothes, but Libby was found nude. There was an unspent .40 caliber bullet between the girls which was linked directly to Richard Allen’s firearm.

Allen was found guilty by a jury of his peers, but that hasn’t stopped the innocence brigade from continuing to argue for Allen. In their latest move, Allen’s lawyers have released the full version of the video taken by Abby and Libby in their final moments.

It’s out there and easy to find, but we won’t be resharing it. In fact we are disgusted by the move, as we cannot see how this aids the innocence argument at all, it only seeks to rip open the wound for both Abby and Libby’s families.

We wish nothing but the best for both families hurt by this. Allen is guilty, and the right man is behind bars. It is time to stop and allow two devastated families to try and heal.
