This week on Missing & Marginalised we are covering two trans people, Jax Gratton, a trans-woman, and Brett Charles Williams a trans-man. Below is all the information we have as well as how to get in touch with the right people if you do know something about these cases

Jax Gratton

Jax Gratton, 34, is missing from Denver, Colorado. She’s a hairstylist and a transgender woman. She was last seen just before 10pm leaving her apartment in the 4200 block of East Iliff Avenue, leaving without her makeup or medication, and leaving her beloved cat behind. 

Jax is around 150 pounds, is 5”11 tall, has blue eyes and pink hair fading to a blond or brown colour. We want to emphasise her height is 5”11 – the police report states 5”8, that’s incorrect. She was last seen wearing a dark striped shirt, a jacket, trousers which look quite loose fitting with a dark pattern on, with her hair tied back in a ponytail and carrying two bags. 

She has a number of tattoos, and as she changes her hair quite often these might be helpful for identifying her. On her left forearm she has a number of intersecting black lines, some of the squares made where the lines cross over are coloured in yellow. On her right upper arm she has the outline of a woman next to some animal print or a pattern. On her right wrist she has a blower. On her upper chest there are three Italian words, the middle one is “Fratello” and 4 stars. On the back of one of her legs there’s some symbols, written in 4 different sections, two on her upper leg two on her lower leg. She has a scar on her upper neck, and below that a tattoo of a plug. 

We spoke to Jax’s mom Cherilynn and she shared that Jax is in recovery and attending regular AA meetings, and showed us a post Jax made celebrating a year of sobriety. She highlighted that Jax ended her post by saying “I deserve a life of freedom, filled with love and growth.” and said that Jax does deserve that.

Brett Charles Williams

Brett Charles Williams is 23 and has been missing from Islington in London since January 2025. He was last seen leaving a police station. He sometimes goes by his middle name, Charles.

He’s a trans man, around 5 foot tall, with brown eyes and brown hair, and he’s got a large build. He has a number of tattoos, a large moth across his neck, a skull in roses on his hand and two X’s on his forehead. He has numerous facial piercings on his mouth, nose and one in his eyebrow. He has a bridge piercing on his nose and likes to wear dark, goth/emo style clothing. He has a lot of connections in the goth community. 

He’s from Upton-on-Severn in Worcestershire, and also has links to Birmingham. He sometimes walks using a mobility aid.
